Clan of Xymox, aussi connus selon le nom de Xymox à certaines époques de leur carrière et familièrement désigné par les fans par l'acronyme COX, sont un groupe darkwave/rock gothique formé en 1983 à Nimègue, aux Pays-Bas, par Ronny Moorings et Anke Wolbert, des membres originaux, seul Ronny Moorings fait encore partie du groupe de nos jours. Clan Of Xymox est le dernier groupe de l’époque 4AD qui est encore en activité. Le groupe cultive toujours une Cold-Wave toute en finesse et en noirceur avec, aujourd’hui, une orientation plus électro. Leur musique alterne les titres electro, sombres, puissants et dansants avec d’autres plus calmes et très beaux, le tout dominé par des ambiances gothiques envoûtantes.
