Gojira est un groupe français (de Bayonne) de Death/Thrash metal progressif créé en 1996 sous le nom de Godzilla et ayant adopté le nom actuel en 2001. Le groupe est réputé pour sa technicité.

The Kills est un groupe de garage rock, fondé en 2001. Bien que le duo était au départ timide et se craignait mutuellement, Mosshart est persuadé qu’ils sont des âmes sœurs, stupéfié par ce qu’ils ont en commun. Cette puissante unité est la raison pour laquelle ils jouent seuls tous les instruments et produisent eux même leurs enregistrements. Le duo anglo-américain est viscéralement attaché à la dimension créatrice d'un rock composé avec urgence. Refrains accrocheurs, rythmiques assouplies, chants heurtés ou voluptueux.

Metallica est un groupe américain de heavy metal, et pionnier du thrash metal, formé en 1981. C’est un des groupes du Big Four of Thrash (le Big four désigne les quatre plus importants groupes de thrash metal), aux côtés de Megadeth, Slayer et Anthrax. Le groupe a obtenu un très grand succès avec plus de 200 millions de disques vendus à travers le monde, dont 60 millions aux États-Unis. L'album Metallica (souvent appelé Black Album), sorti en 1991, fut vendu à plus de 30 millions d'exemplaires dans le monde et fut certifié 15 fois disque de platine par la RIAA.
