Staind est un groupe de néo métal alternatif américain basé à Springfield (Massachusetts), décrit comme un croisement entre Pantera, Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots ou même Deftones. Le groupe fut fondé en 1994 et a publié officiellement sept albums studio et un album live. En 2001, c'est l'explosion médiatique, grâce au single "It's Been Awhile" extrait de l'album Break the Cycle qui est numéro 1 sur les radios rock américaines.
