Patrick Bruce Metheny, est un guitariste américain de jazz et leader du Pat Metheny Group. Très prolifique, son travail est sans limites ni frontières. Il se produit sur scène à raison de 200 concerts par an depuis 1974. Le Pat Metheny Group est une entité considérée par l'artiste comme étant la pierre angulaire expérimentale de sa musique. Elle lui permet toutes les fantaisies de compositeurs. Une partie des critiques de jazz a longtemps eu tendance à scinder son œuvre en deux branches : celle de Pat Metheny, jazzman, et celle de Pat Metheny, leader du "Pat Metheny Group". À une sorte de "Docteur Jekyll", jazzman ouvert à des expériences variées, ils opposaient un "Mister Hyde", musicien purement commercial. Les récompenses multiples pour l'une et l'autre ne permettront pas de trancher cette question, mais montrent bien la reconnaissance des deux facettes du musicien. Pat Metheny répète souvent qu'il joue la musique qu'il aimerait entendre et il fait partie de ces musiciens qui ont sans relâche défriché de nouveaux territoires. .

Steven Patrick, dit Morrissey, parfois abrégé en « Moz », est un chanteur de rock indépendant/indie pop britannique. Il fut le chanteur et auteur charismatique des Smiths, groupe qui a eu une très forte influence sur le rock alternatif mondial eti qui est devenu culte aux États-Unis, avec à la guitare Johnny Marr. Quand le groupe se sépare en 1987 il commence une carrière en solo. Il atteint au Royaume-Uni le top 10 des singles.
